Query and discover PRO DSX AV over IP Devices

To discover and get a list of all the Octava PRO DSX AV Over devices installed, you can use the built in node query list command.

Once PRO DSX AV Over IP device received the query list command, it will reply it own status and send the query command and gather the response from all devices. You may use a browser to send the node list command as follows:

  1. Connect your PC / tablet to the PRO DSX AV over IP network . Refer to : https://octavainc.com/blog/connecting-pc-tablet-to-octava-pro-dsx-over-ip-network/
  2. Open a browser and enter the following command: http://172.31.2.1/cgi-bin/query.cgi?cmd=node_list%20-j
  3. A JSON formatted output will be returned as shown in the following example:


“is_host: “Y” = PRO DSX AV Over IP Transmitter

“is_host: “N” = PRO DSX AV Over IP Receiver
